If you feel that you need more time to renew your certification, don’t worry. You have the option to purchase a coding certification extension. This will allow you up to 30, 60, or 90 days past your renewal date to pay the annual renewal fee, submit the required CEUs, and pass the annual update exam (available using the drop-down options). Keep in mind, however, that this is a temporary certification extension and it is very important that you complete all certification requirements before your extension is up.
For example: Your renewal date is July 1st. It is June 20th and you only have six of the required CEUs. You purchase a 30-day extension, which gives you a temporary renewal date of August 1st to submit the required CEUs, pay the renewal fee, and pass the update exam. Next year, your renewal date will still be July 1st.
ARHCP understands that people who obtain our certifications are very busy and have full-time jobs. We make this option available so that we can see our members succeed. Although extensions are available, we still require you to renew your certifications so you can stay up-to-date and excel in your career.
You can add on the annual renewal fee by using the drop-down options. A $40 discount is available for adding on the two-year option, though you will still need to submit the 12 required CEUs and pass the update exam (RMC only) each year.
