Because ARHCP already requires an annual update exam to renew the RMC certification, we are not requiring members to take a separate ICD-10 proficiency exam. The annual update exam (beginning on October 1st) will incorporate the ICD-10-CM code set.

Your renewal date is the day that you passed the initial certification exam (RMC, RMM, RMA, RMB, or REMS). This will be located under your new member account coming March 1, 2022

There will be no more seals being sent out any longer.

Renewal reminders will be sent to you via mail and email 90, 60, and 30 days before your renewal date each year.

You will need to purchase a 30-, 60-, or 90-day extension. This will give you 30, 60, or 90 days past your renewal date to complete the entire renewal process. If you pass your renewal date by more than 90 days, you will need to re-take the initial certification exam.

Starting January 1, 2022 the RMC update exam will no longer be required. Instead of taking the 50 question exam you will need to watch two 1.5 hour webinars on the current years CPT and ICD-10 updates and changes and pass a short 10 question quiz.

To protect the integrity of the online exams, we are not at liberty to disclose the questions and/or answers. However, we are able to provide the areas in which questions were answered incorrectly, as well as the amount missed per section.
